Man Arrested after Deputies Identify Him as Suspect who Vandalized a Sheriff's Substation in Lucerne Valley

INCIDENT: PC 594(B)(1): VANDALISM OF $400 OR MORE
LOCATION: Lucerne Valley Sheriff’s Department Sub-Station, 32818 Verdugo Road in Lucerne Valley
SUSPECT: Mario Morales, 35 years of age, resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at 8:50am, deputies discovered the door of the Lucerne Valley Sheriff’s Department Sub-Station damaged. The suspect forced open the door but did not get into the station.
Through an investigation by Detective A. Pangburn and Deputy S. Bowman, Mario Morales was identified as the suspect responsible for the damage.
On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 12:28pm, Mario Morales was arrested without incident. Mario Morales was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for vandalism. He is currently being held in lieu of $30,000.00 bail.
