Assault Causing Great Bodily Injury and Violation of Probation

Incident Summary:
On February 28, 2025, at approximately 11:51 p.m., Petaluma police officers were dispatched to the Keller Street Garage to investigate a reported fight. While en route, the reporting party informed the officers that the suspect had fled the scene in a vehicle.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim, who had sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the assault. The Petaluma Fire Department paramedics evaluated the victim, noting a contusion on the victim’s face from being kicked in the head.
Shortly after, officers located a vehicle nearby that matched the description of the suspect's getaway car. The driver, later identified as Adan Juarez-Munoz (21-year old, Sonoma), was found inside the vehicle and matched the suspect description provided by the reporting party. Juarez-Munoz was arrested and transported to the Sonoma County Jail, where he was booked under California Penal Code sections 245(a)(1) (assault with a deadly weapon) and 1203.2(a) (violation of probation).
