Update  3/3/2025 The crash took place at approximately 3:15 PM and involved three vehicles. This occurred when the suspect, driving eastbound, ran a red light.
 
The Ada County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for officially releasing information on the deceased when they are able to do so. At this time, we can confirm that the deceased victim was a 78-year-old female from Boise.
 
The suspect, identified as Emily Della Minow, is currently in the Ada County Jail. She was arraigned today, 3/3/2025, on three counts of aggravated driving under the influence (felonies) and one count of vehicular manslaughter.

Update 3/1/2025 10:00PM: Meridian Police have taken suspect, Emily Della Minow, into custody in connection with the fatal crash at N Locust Grove and E Franklin Rd. MINOW was booked into the Ada County Jail on four counts of Aggravated DUI (felony) and one count of Vehicular Manslaughter (felony) without further incident. 

Update 3/1/2025 7:30PM: Roads are open. Police have cleared the scene. Idaho Power remains at the intersection; please follow their traffic directions.

Meridian Police Investigating Fatal Crash at N Locust Grove & E Franklin
 

MERIDIAN, ID – Officers are currently on the scene of a fatal crash at the intersection of N Locust Grove and E Franklin Rd. The intersection is closed in all directions as the crash remains under investigation.

Tragically, one adult female has been confirmed deceased. Additional details will be released as they become available.

We ask motorists to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while first responders work at the scene. Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident.
