As of this morning, all evacuations from yesterday still remain in effect. The fire is estimated to be 400-500 acres in total. At this point in time, we have a very small amount contained. We are asking that all traffic avoid the areas of US Hwy 176, Harmon Field Rd, and Howard Gap Rd to allow emergency personnel to get through and to keep them safe as they utilize hydrants along the road side.

Harmon Field staff is requesting the public to avoid the park at this time as it is a staging area for emergency personnel. The cabin entrance is being used for emergency vehicles only at this time. If you feel the need to go to the park, please utilize the parking area by the tennis courts. Also keep in mind that the park is still off limits behind the orange fence, citations will be issued to violators.
