Incident #: 2025-3255 – Theft
Date/Time: February 4, 2025, 12:54 PM
Location: 100 Loft Dr. (Lofts at Princeton construction site)
Reporting Officer: Ptl. B. Caulfield #107
Officers responded to a report of a theft at a construction site where approximately 350 feet of wiring had been stolen over the weekend. The stolen material was valued at several hundred dollars. The investigation is ongoing.
 

Incident #: 2025-3261 – Criminal Mischief
Date/Time: February 4, 2025, 2:25 PM
Location: 3535 US Route 1, Market Fair

Police were dispatched to Market Fair mall for criminal mischief to a vehicle. Six vehicles had their tires slashed the previous week, and one victim reported an $800 loss from the damage. The incident remains under investigation.
 

Incident #: 2025-3274 – Shoplifting

A male suspect shoplifted three Fire TV sticks and two JBL earbuds, valued at $294.95, before fleeing the store. The incident remains under investigation.

Location: Extended Stay, 3450 US Route 1

A victim reported her purse was stolen in the hotel lobby. The purse contained personal items, including Apple AirPods. The investigation is ongoing.
 

Incident #: 2025-3701 – Driving While Intoxicated
Date/Time: February 10, 2025, 2:32 AM
Location: U.S. Route 1 & Carnegie Center Blvd.

Arrested: Miya G. Grissett (Philadelphia, PA)
Grissett was found in a damaged vehicle on the shoulder of U.S. Route 1. She exhibited signs of intoxication and failed field sobriety tests. She was placed under arrest for DWI and also issued a summons for reckless driving. Further investigation determined she had crashed into a light pole. She was processed and released to a sober adult.


Incident #: 2025-3845 – Shoplifting

A male suspect stole approximately $500 worth of men’s clothing.


Incident #: 2025-3903 – Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Date/Time: February 12, 2025, 6:19 PM
Location: Target, 500 Nassau Park Blvd

Arrested: Gustavo Ponce (Trenton, NJ)
Ponce stole merchandise from Target and attempted to flee, hiding behind Best Buy. Officers pursued and apprehended him after he resisted arrest. A search found stolen goods and a glass pipe in his belongings. He was charged with shoplifting, resisting arrest, obstruction, and possession of drug paraphernalia.


Incident #: 2025-4141 – Shoplifting

Two suspects stole approximately $500 worth of Nike Tech clothing before fleeing on foot. Responding officers were unable to locate them.  The incident is still under investigation.


Incident #: 2025-4366 – Shoplifting, Theft by Deception

Location: Home Depot, 701 Nassau Park Blvd

Arrested: Carlos Laborde Caliz (Trenton, NJ)
Laborde Caliz fraudulently returned stolen items for cash. Store security identified him from previous incidents. He was arrested and charged with theft by deception. Additionally, he had an active warrant from Ewing and was processed accordingly.


Incident #: 2025-4748 – Shoplifting, Hindering Apprehension, Possession of CDS, Stolen Vehicle

Location: Dick’s Sporting Goods, 530 Nassau Park Blvd

Arrested: Jacob Carom (Hamilton, NJ) & Monica Paterno (Flemington, NJ)
Carom and Paterno shoplifted merchandise from Dick’s Sporting Goods and attempted to flee in a stolen vehicle. Paterno provided a false identity to officers. A search of the vehicle uncovered stolen merchandise and CDS paraphernalia. Both were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including shoplifting, possession of CDS, and receiving stolen property.


Incident #: 2025-4865 – Burglary

Homeowners returned from a weekend trip to find their house burglarized. The rear window and mudroom door were found open, and several rooms were ransacked. Detectives are currently investigating.  


Incident #: 2025-5259 – Shoplifting

Location: Target, 500 Nassau Park Blvd

Arrested: Luis J. Cruzcamacho (Ewing, NJ)
Cruzcamacho attempted to steal baby formula from Target but was apprehended by loss prevention. He was charged with shoplifting and released with a court date
