SUMMARY: The Twin Peaks area has been the target of several vehicle burglaries and thefts from vehicles during January and February of 2025. Various high-value items were stolen from victims, including luxury brand handbags, along with backpacks, California driver's licenses, credit cards, and other valuables.

Deputies and detectives from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station reviewed multiple video surveillance recordings from the incidents, as well as footage from businesses where a suspect was observed using stolen credit or debit cards to make fraudulent purchases.

On Sunday, February 23, 2025, at approximately 11:10 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Sheriff's Station conducted a traffic stop on a black Dodge Dart in the area of State Highway 138 and Crestline Cutoff. The vehicle matched the vehicle's description captured on surveillance footage in connection with the prior incidents. The driver, identified as Amber Cooke, was found to have an active misdemeanor warrant for her arrest. The passenger, identified as Michael Honeycutt, was on Post Release Community Supervision (AB 109).

Honeycutt matched the description of the suspect seen on surveillance footage using a victim's stolen credit card at a convenience store in San Bernardino. Honeycutt was arrested for PC 484G – Larceny Using a Credit Card and was issued a no bail hold by the Probation Department for violating his post-release supervision. Cooke was arrested and booked at Central Detention Center for her warrant.

The investigation led deputies to a residence in the 100 block of Fairway Drive in Lake Arrowhead, where they recovered several stolen items, gift cards, an unserialized handgun, a loaded magazine containing several rounds of 9mm ammunition, and burglary tools.
The San Bernardino County District Attorney's Office filed multiple charges against Honeycutt, including:
PC 24610 – Possession of an Undetectable Firearm
PC 29800(a)(1) – Felon in Possession of a Firearm
PC 459 – Burglary
PC 484G(b) – Unauthorized Use of a Stolen Credit Card Over $950
