Traffic Stop Leads to Discovery of Suspected Methamphetamine

SUSPECT(S): Marco Antonio Acosta, Age 42, Resident of Rancho Cucamonga

SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 2, 2025, at approximately 9:01 P.M., deputies from the Rancho Cucamonga Sheriff’s Station initiated a traffic stop on a white Lexus for CVC violations on Hellman Avenue and Foothill Boulevard.
Deputies contacted the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, later identified as Marco Antonio Acosta, a resident of Rancho Cucamonga. Through investigation, Acosta was found to be on active probation and operated the vehicle with a suspended driver's license. Deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 33 grams of suspected methamphetamine and a large amount of US currency.
The vehicle was towed and stored for safekeeping. Acosta was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for HS11377(A)-possession of a controlled substance.
