Winter Storm Warning until 06:00PM Wednesday

...HEAVY SNOW AND STRONG WINDS LATE TUESDAY NIGHT INTO WEDNESDAY... .Rain will change over to snow and become heavy at times overnight Tuesday and into Wednesday. Several inches of snow are expected across much of the region with highest amounts across southeast Minnesota. Winds will increase overnight where the combination of wind gusts as high as 45 to 55 mph and heavier snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will lead to blizzard conditions at times west of the Mississippi River. Motorists should exercise abundant caution for the Wednesday morning commute with travel not recommended during blizzard conditions.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Taylor and Buffalo Counties.

* WHEN...From midnight tonight to 6 PM CST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
