Our crews will be flushing fire hydrants in the Kokopelli neighborhood, McCoy neighborhood, and the area around City Hall. This work helps maintain our water system, but you may notice some discolored water in your water lines. Don't worry — the water is safe to use and meets all EPA Safe Water Guidelines. The discoloration comes from mineral deposits in the pipes. If you notice discolored water, try running COLD water from your faucet for about 10 minutes — this usually clears things up. If the water doesn't clear, please give Aztec Public Works a call at 505-334-7660. Thank you for your patience as we work to keep our water system running smoothly!
