High Wind Warning & Upcoming Hazardous Weather

High Wind Warning has been issued for Cooper County starting at 9PM this evening until 6PM Wednesday.

WHAT:  Northwest winds 25 to 40 mph with gust up to 60 mph expected.

WHERE:  Cooper and surrounding counties.

WHEN:  From 9PM tonight to 6PM Wednesday

IMPACTS:  Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.  Widespread power outages are expected.  Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs.  use caution if you must drive.

HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

We have a very active weather pattern for the next few days.  There is a marginal to slight risk of Severe Thunderstorms and excessive rainfall forecasted for the region today.  Rain will change over to snow tonight into early Wednesday morning.  Blizzard conditions will be possible.  Wind gust up to 60mph possible through Wednesday afternoon.
