Thirteen drivers cited and one arrested at Simi Valley DUI Checkpoint
Simi Valley, Calif. – On March 1, 2025, thirteen drivers were cited and one driver was arrested at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Los Angeles Avenue and Bridget Avenue from 7:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
A total of 587 drivers were contacted. Thirteen drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended / revoked license, and one driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
