Fire Ban Still in Effect Until March 7 
Buncombe County has extended the current ban on open burning until March 7 despite the recent precipitation. This is partially due to expected winds 30-40 MPH today through late evening. Surface fuels will quickly dry out allowing fire to spread. Please do not conduct open burning until bans are removed and conditions improve. See the link below for details regarding the Ban.
