The bridge is located in Springfield Township on Mt. Holly Jacksonville Road (C.R. 628) between Oxmead Road (C.R. 629) and Smithville Jacksonville Road, and crosses Birch Creek.

The County is closing Bridge #D3.15 on or about March 24^th – Mt. Holly Jacksonville Road (C.R. 628) will be closed for approximately 6 weeks barring any unforeseen circumstance. There will be a closure between Oxmead Road (C.R. 629) and Jacksonville Jobstown Road (C.R. 670) to all thru traffic to make the necessary repairs to the bridge. Local traffic will be able to enter the closure area to access their properties but will not be able to cross the bridge. The bridge is located approximately 0.5 miles south of the intersection of Smithville Jacksonville Road. Please coordinate to have any of your regular bus routes that utilize this road to be detoured during this time. The County will notify the 911 dispatch center.

An approximately 6.2-mile detour will be posted using signs directing traffic to utilize county routes 670, 537, 630, and U.S. Route 206. A location map with the closed road highlighted in red and the detour route highlighted in yellow is attached for your convenience.
