Fentanyl, Crack Cocaine Found on Old Fort Woman
Detective David Jones with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged Megan Alexandria Mitchell, 42, of Old Fort with felony Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance and felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance. She received a secured bond of $10,000.
On Saturday, Feb 22, detectives initiated a traffic stop on Mitchell, who was driving in the Old Fort area on a suspended license.
A search of her car and person turned up a purple powder (suspected to be fentanyl), crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody and transported to the McDowell County Detention Center.
