* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Edgecombe, Halifax, Nash and Wilson.
* WHEN...Until 545 PM EST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 240 PM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen in some areas. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rocky Mount, Tarboro, Nashville, Halifax, Wilson, Scotland Neck, Elm City, Dortches, Red Oak, Enfield, Princeville, Sharpsburg, Spring Hope, Whitakers, Hobgood, Speed, Leggett, Battleboro, Kingsboro and Glenview. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
