Donate eyeglasses this month
The City of Hoboken's Office of Constituent Services is partnering with the Bayonne Lions Club to host an Eyeglasses Donation Drive. Hoboken community members can drop off prescription and nonprescription glasses as well as sunglasses at Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington St., via the Newark Street entrance on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through March 31.
Meet with Mayor Bhalla
Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the Office of Constituent Services will host extended office hours on Tuesday, March 18, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Multi-Service Center at 124 Grand St.

The extended office hours, launched by the Office of Constituent Services in June 2022, provides residents and community stakeholders with additional opportunities to speak with Mayor Bhalla on any Hoboken topics outside of City Hall's open business hours.
Attend the Know Your Rights Seminar on Immigration Law
The City of Hoboken, The Hoboken Public Library & Immigration and American Citizenship Organization will host a Know Your Rights Seminar on immigration law on Thursday, March 20, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the large programming room of the Hoboken Public Library at 500 Park Ave.
The workshop is for immigrants and their families who are seeking to understand their legal rights. A lawyer will be present to help answer questions and offer general advice.
1416 Clinton St. project meeting announced
Hoboken are invited to a virtual community meeting on Thursday, March 20, at 6 p.m. to learn more about the proposed mixed use redevelopment project at 1416 Clinton St. Community members can register at hobokennj.gov/1416clinton.
The developer team will discuss the project which includes a proposed an eight-story property with 9,000-square-feet of ground floor retail and 160 residential units with 16 units of affordable housing. The project will also include street scape and pedestrian improvements along 15th Street, Grand Street, and Clinton Street. The project would be located within the North End Redevelopment Plan Area.
Community members will have an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the proposal. No action will be taken by the Governing Body.
