Crime Alert Bulletin Covering the Week of February 24-March 2, 2025
When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There were four robberies during the past week.
On Monday, 02-24-25, at approximately 10:30 a.m., in the parking lot of Skyline Plaza, two victims were sitting in their vehicle when a white vehicle parked next to them. The vehicle was occupied by a male driver and two female passengers. The two females exited the vehicle and attempted to sell jewelry to the victims. One suspect tried to put a necklace on one victim, while the other suspect attempted to put a ring on the second victim. When the victims refused the jewelry, the suspect who had tried to place the necklace on one of them, ripped off the victim’s gold chain that he was wearing. The other suspect attempted to remove the second victim’s ring but was unsuccessful. Both suspects then got back into the white vehicle and fled toward Southgate Avenue. On 02-26-25, officers located the suspect vehicle on Southgate Avenue and Palmcrest Avenue and conducted a traffic stop. All three suspects were arrested. The driver, a 33-year-old Oakland resident, along with the first passenger, a 32-year-old, and the second passenger, a 25-year-old, were booked into jail for robbery and other offenses.
On Wednesday, 02-26-25, at approximately 10:24 p.m., officers were dispatched to the unit block of Park Street on a report of a robbery. The victim stated that he had arrived at this location to meet a female. He parked his vehicle in the garage, exited the car, and walked toward the female. They entered a set of doors and were in a stairwell landing area when five to six male suspects approached. Four of the suspects pointed firearms at the victim. The female then moved aside and entered doors leading to the first floor of the apartment building. The suspects took the victim’s hoodie, gold necklace, shoes, iPhone, and car keys. The suspects then ordered the victim to remove his earrings. While the victim was taking off his earrings, one of the suspects told him he was being too loud and struck him in the face with a pistol. The suspects then ran to the victim’s car, a 2016 BMW 650i, and drove off. The victim described one of the suspects as a Samoan male, approximately 5’10” to 5’11” tall, with a slender build, wearing a blue face mask, a black fleece hoodie, and black pants. A second suspect was described as a Black male, approximately 5’6” tall, with a slender build, wearing a black hoodie with a white logo and a spiderweb design on the chest. Through investigation, on Monday, 03-03-25, officers arrested the female suspect, an 18-year-old South San Francisco resident. She was booked into jail for robbery, carjacking, assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and conspiracy to commit a crime. This investigation is ongoing.
On Thursday, 02-27-25, at approximately 12:43 a.m., at an apartment on the 200 block of Lake Merced Boulevard, a victim was punched multiple times by two suspects and fell to the ground. A third suspect then took the victim’s keys from his sweatshirt pocket. The victim got up and walked out of the apartment. One suspect later returned the victim’s keys, but the vehicle key fob was missing. The victim walked across the street and called for help. The victim was not sure which apartment he had been in. Officers later found one half of the key fob at the bottom of a flight of stairs and the other half on the victim’s vehicle. They returned the key fob to the victim. The victim described the suspect who took the keys from his pocket as a Hispanic male, approximately 26 years old, 6’2” tall, with a black buzzcut, brown eyes, wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans, and black shoes. The second suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 16 years old, 5’3” tall, wearing a gray T-shirt with a comic logo, light blue jeans, and black shoes. This suspect had black hair with a long strand of hair at the back of his head. The third suspect was described as a Hispanic male, approximately 25 years old, 5’4” tall, wearing a black beanie, black shirt, khaki pants, and tan boots with long black hair tied in a pony tail. This investigation is ongoing.
On Friday, 02-28-25, at approximately 1:15 p.m., at a Wells Fargo ATM inside Safeway at the Westlake Shopping Center, a suspect used a ruse to lure a victim back to the ATM she had just used. While doing so, he pulled on her hand and swapped her ATM card with another plastic card. The suspect later went to another Wells Fargo and withdrew money from the victim’s account. The suspect was described as a White or Hispanic male with a beard, approximately 5’8” to 5’10” tall, weighing over 300 pounds, wearing a black and yellow baseball cap, a white and blue surgical mask, a white T-shirt, and black pants. This investigation is ongoing.

Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
