Deputies Working to Identify and Locate Male Who Battered a 14-year-old Boy Walking Home from School

INCIDENT: PC 243(d) - Aggravated Battery with Serious Bodily Injury
LOCATION: Sunnyslope Drive @ La Buena Tierra Avenue, Twentynine Palms
SUSPECT(S): Unknown Black Male Adult
VICTIM(S): Confidential Male Juvenile
SUMMARY: On Thursday, March 6, 2025, at approximately 2:18 p.m., deputies from the Morongo Basin Station responded to a call for service regarding an assault that occurred near the intersection of Sunnyslope Drive and La Buena Tierra Avenue in the city of Twentynine Palms. According to their preliminary investigation, deputies learned a 14-year-old male was walking home after school, when an adult male approached the juvenile and violently battered the juvenile then fled the scene. The juvenile was rendered unconscious and sustained multiple injuries to his face, head, and neck. Medical aid was provided on-scene and the juvenile was transported to a local hospital for further medical treatment of his injuries.
The suspect is identified as a black male adult, approximately 30-40 years of age. He was further described as wearing a burgandy hoodie, jeans, and black sneakers.
