Culver City Police Successfully Apprehend Suspect in
Carjacking Incident

On March 3, 2025, at approximately 9:06 PM, Culver City Police Officers were contacted by a female victim in a parking lot at the 10800 block of Jefferson Boulevard. The victim reported a carjacking incident that had occurred shortly before.

At around 9:00 PM, the victim was approached by three male suspects, aged 16-25, and wearing red bandannas over their faces. The suspects forcefully took the victim's purse and car keys and then quickly located her vehicle using the stolen keys. One suspect drove away in the victim's car while the others followed in another vehicle, traveling east on Jefferson Boulevard.

An immediate search was conducted by Officers, and when they were unable to find the suspects, an investigation was launched to identify and locate them. The following morning, at approximately 6:30 AM, the unoccupied stolen vehicle was located in Los Angeles. Officers recovered the vehicle as evidence for processing.

Within twelve hours of the crime, the Culver City Police Department's Forensics Unit identified a potential suspect through latent fingerprints recovered from the vehicle. The subject was determined to be a juvenile from Los Angeles.

On March 4, 2025, the Culver City Police conducted a search for the suspect. At around 4:10 PM, Detectives located the suspect and took the juvenile into custody without incident.

This rapid response and successful apprehension highlight the dedication and efficiency of the Culver City Police Department in addressing and resolving criminal activity in the community.
