Escondido Police Investigating Vehicle Accident that Killed a Pedestrian   
 
ESCONDIDO – On March 8^th, 2025, at 11:56 PM, Escondido Police responded to a call of a traffic collision in the 1100 block of East Washington Ave. in Escondido.
 
The first officers arriving on the scene discovered a pedestrian in the roadway struck by a vehicle.  Officers immediately began CPR on the victim until Escondido Fire Paramedics arrived shortly after.  The victim was transported to Palomar Medical Center, where they were pronounced deceased. 
 
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.  The driver involved in this accident was not arrested or cited.

La policía de Escondido Investiga un Accidente de Tráfico que Mató a un Peatón

ESCONDIDO – El 8 de febrero de 2025, a las 11:56 p. m., la policía de Escondido respondió a una llamada de un accidente de tráfico en la cuadra 1100 de East Washington Ave. en Escondido.

Los primeros oficiales que llegaron a la escena descubrieron a un peatón en la carretera atropellado por un vehículo. Los oficiales comenzaron de inmediato a realizarle RCP a la víctima hasta que los paramédicos de bomberos de Escondido llegaron poco después. La víctima fue trasladada al Centro Médico Palomar, donde fue declarada muerta. 

El conductor del vehículo involucrado permaneció en la escena y está cooperando con la investigación. El conductor involucrado en este accidente no fue arrestado por citación.
