The City of Idalou will conduct a storm siren test today, Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at noon. This is only a test.
During the test, you may hear the sirens go off multiple times as we perform routine maintenance on the system. Please note: Storm sirens are designed to alert people who are outdoors, so you may not hear them inside your home. That’s completely normal!
In the event of severe weather, we recommend staying informed by tuning in to your local news station for updates. A weather radio is also a great tool to have on hand for receiving alerts, especially if power or cell service is disrupted.
