PC 23152(B): DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL
WARRANT
LOCATION: 9100 Block of Mesquite Street, Baldy Mesa
SUSPECT: Hector Perez, 40 years of age, resident of Beaumont
SUMMARY: On Monday, March 10, 2025, at 3:06 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle check in the 9100 block of Mesquite Street in Baldy Mesa. According to the caller, a male adult had been sitting inside a vehicle at the location for a long period of time.
When deputies arrived, they found Hector Perez intoxicated and asleep in the driver’s seat of the vehicle. Next to Perez was an empty bottle of liquor. When deputies woke Perez, he became uncooperative and combative with deputies. Perez also provided a false name to deputies.
Hector Perez was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol, obstructing a peace officer, and giving false identification to a peace officer. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He was additionally booked on a warrant out of Los Angeles County for being drunk in public.
We would like to commend the citizen who called San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dispatch to let us know of this situation. Had the caller approached Hector Perez, they could have been assaulted and injured. They assisted with this arrest, without putting their safety at risk. For emergencies, call 911.
