NWS is reporting several rounds of rainfall to begin on Wednesday

The National Weather Service is reporting impactful weather to begin this Wednesday, 3/12, through Thursday, 3/13.

The NWS is predicting heavy rain up to 2", with a slight chance of thunderstorms, and strong gusty winds.

We urge residents to take preparedness measures by moving vehicles as necessary and seeking sand/sandbags should they need them.  We also suggest securing any property that could be moved or damaged by high winds.

Sand and bags can be purchased at local hardware stores. Sand and sandbags may also be found at the following locations:*

*These locations have limited stockpiles of sand and sandbags for emergency use during the rainy season. To use these stockpiles, you must supply your own labor, shovels and support.

Please be safe and only call 9-1-1 to report an emergency. For non-emergency assistance, please contact the Mill Valley Police Department at (415) 389-4100.
