Special Weather Statement until 08:00PM
Relative humidity is expected to decrease to the 15 to 25 percent range across the western North Carolina and northeast Georgia by this afternoon and early evening. Winds will increase during the afternoon hours, with occasional gusts to around 15 to 20 mph. This will combine with dry vegetation to increase the potential for the start and spread of wildfires across the area. Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities whether you may burn outdoors. If you do burn outside, use extreme caution.
