Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection with multiple 2024 burglary incidents following an investigation.
On February 21, 2024 and again on March 8, 2024, members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 1800 block of North Dupont Street, in reference to burglary incidents. On April 16, 2024, members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of Rockford Road, in reference to a burglary incident. These cases were assigned to Detective John O’Connor of the Criminal Investigations Division.
Through the course of his investigation, Detective O’Connor identified 28-year-old Lawrence Bracy as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On May 15, 2024, Bracy was taken into custody on an unrelated matter in Lancaster, PA. On March 5, Bracy was extradited to Delaware.
Bracy has been charged with the following offenses:
- Burglary (Third Degree) – Three Counts
- Theft Over $1,500 – Three Counts
- Theft Under $1,500 – Two Counts
He was arraigned in the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $20,000 cash-only bail.
