Wilmington Police arrest two male juveniles, recover stolen vehicle:

Wilmington Police have arrested two male juveniles and recovered a stolen vehicle.

On March 12, at approximately 2:00 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division were in the 500 block of West 4th Street, when they observed a stolen vehicle. Police attempted to conduct a vehicle stop at that location, at which time the vehicle disregarded and fled the area. A short time later, the vehicle was located in the area of West 9th and Monroe Streets, where two male subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, police took a 15-year-old male juvenile, and a 16-year-old male juvenile into custody without further incident.

The 15-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offenses in addition to traffic violations:

  • Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500
  • Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $3,000 unsecured bail.

The 16-year-old male juvenile has been charged with the following offense:
  • Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the New Castle County Juvenile Detention Center pending further proceedings.
