Full Notification

This is a message from Clay County Emergency Services. Clay County Fire and Rescue along with North Carolina Forest Service and the U.S. Forest Service crews are on the scene of a large wildland fire on U.S. Highway 64 East at the bottom of Franklin Mountain.  Residents in the area of Eagle View and Thumping Creek will see the smoke from this fire.  Fire crews are on standby in this area at this time. There are currently, no evacuation orders and further information will be sent out as it becomes available.
