Road Closures and Parking Restrictions for BOTH St. Patrick’s Day Parades on Saturday, March 15, 2025:

NEW FOR 2025 Both Parades
Parking restrictions will be in place for the entirety of both parade routes. See below for the parking restrictions that will be in effect for both parades. These restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of the parade spectators as well as those in the parade.

North Albany Limerick Parade – 12:00PM -1PM
The North Albany Limerick Parade route: Kick Off 12:00PM
Starting at North First Street west of North Pearl Street at the North Albany American Legion Post.

-The parade will proceed east to North Pearl Street, then south of North Pearl Street to Emmett Street; east on Emmett Street to Broadway; North on Broadway to Wolfert Avenue in the Village of Menands; back south on North Pearl Street to North First Street.

Road Closures: 11:00 AM-2:00 PM

• North First Street between Broadway and Van Rensselaer Ave
• North Pearl Street between Wolfert Ave and Emmett St
• Broadway between Wolfert Ave and Emmett Street
• North Second Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
• North Third Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street 
• Lawn Avenue, westbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
• Bonheim Street, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street
• Lindbergh Avenue, eastbound at Broadway & eastbound and westbound at North Pearl Street

Parking Restrictions: March 15, 2025, 9:00 AM-2:00 PM

• North First Street, both sides from VanRensselaer Bl to Broadway
• North Pearl Street, both sides from Emmett Street to Wolfert Avenue
(Menands Line)
• Emmett Street, both sides from North Pearl Street to Broadway
• Broadway, both sides from Emmett Street to Wolfert Ave (Menands Line)

Albany St. Patrick’s Day Parade, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM Road Closures:

• Parade Staging & Lineup: • Starting at 8:00AM
• Central Avenue between Quail Street and Lexington Avenue will be closed for parade lineup.
• 9:00AM The Parade Route will be closed to ALL Traffic
•The entire parade route will be closed allowing APD to secure the route and assure step off at 2:00 PM.
• Henry Johnson Boulevard and Lark Street northbound and southbound will remain open to traffic until 12;30PM.
• At 12;30 PM these two roadways will be closed and the entire parade route will remain closed until the completion of the parade.

Parade Route: 2:00 PM Parade Step Off:
• Central Avenue starting at Lexington Avenue, parade will proceed east on Central Avenue to Washington Avenue; then east on Washington Avenue to State Street; east on State Street to approximately opposite James Street.

Road Closures::

• Central Avenue from Quail Street east to Washington Avenue
• Washington Avenue from Central Avenue east to Washington Avenue/Eagle Street/State Street;
• State Street from Washington Avenue/Eagle Street east to Broadway.

In addition, ALL cross streets along the parade route will be closed in preparation for parade kick off.

This will include Eagle Street as well as North and South Pearl Streets from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue.

Parking Restrictions: March 13, 2025, at 6:00 AM until March 15, 2025 at 6:00 PM

• Central Avenue, Parking Lot #4 (Central Avenue and Lexington Avenue) all areas of this lot will be restricted.
• March 15, 2025, the following locations:
• Central Avenue, both sides from Quail Street to Lark St; 6:00AM-4:00 PM (parade formation)
• Quail Street, both sides from Bradford Street to Sherman Street 6:00AM-4:00 PM (parade formation)
• N Lake Avenue, both sides from Bradford Street to Sherman Street 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (parade formation)
• Robin Street, both sides from Bradford Street to Sherman Street 6:00AM-4:00 PM (parade formation)
• Lexington Avenue, both sides from Bradford Street to Sherman Street 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (parade formation)
• Washington Avenue, both sides from Lark Street to State Street; 6:00AM-4:00 PM
• Eagle Street, both sides side from State Street to Pine Street 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (parade route)
• State Street, North and South sides from Lark Street east 3 spaces on each side 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (turn radius for large class vehicles)
• State Street, North and South sides from South Swan Street east to Plaza Road east of Legislative Office Building 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (buses)
• State Street, both sides from Eagle Street to Broadway; 6:00 AM -4:00 PM (parade route)
• Broadway, East and West sides from Pine Street to Hudson Avenue, 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM (congestion mitigation area)
• Green Street both sides from State Street to Madison Avenue, 6:00AM-4:00 PM (parade disbursement route)
• Dallius Street, both sides from Hudson Avenue to Division Street 6:00AM-4:00 PM (parade disbursement area)
• South Swan Street, east side from Madison Avenue to Washington Avenue 6:00 AM-4:00 PM (upper roadway)
