The victim reported his vehicle had been stolen from his residence in the 10000 block of Dandelion Lane in the Town of Apple Valley. Video surveillance recovered from residences in the area showed a Land Rover pulling up near the stolen vehicle and then both vehicles driving away.
The stolen vehicle was equipped with a GPS tracking device, which led deputies to an address on Sandia Road in the Town of Apple Valley. As Deputy B. Clancy neared the location, he saw the stolen vehicle being driven through a mobile home park at the location. Both occupants of the vehicle exited the vehicle and fled on foot, with Deputy Clancy following. Additional deputies responded and both subjects, identified as Cristian Matthew Duran and Briana Wilson, were detained.

On March 10, 2025, at approximately 10:10 am, Deputy C. Lajuj from Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station stopped a Land Rover being driven by Joseph Allen Canum. The Land Rover was found to be stolen out of Lancaster and Canum had an active felony warrant. Inside the Land Rover was property belonging to the victim of the stolen vehicle on Dandelion Lane. Canum also was confirmed as the subject in the video surveillance from the burglary on Cholena Road.
On March 11, 2025, at approximately 8:41 am, deputies from Apple Valley Police Department served a search warrant at a residence in the 11700 block of Ivy Avenue in Hesperia.
