1. Battery on an Officer (1508) Martin Luther King Boulevard and Commerce Street, Seaport District

Officers attempted to stop the suspects in the listed area, but they fled from officers on foot. One of the suspects struck an officer while trying to flee. After a short foot pursuit, both suspects were taken into custody. ARRESTED: Two 16-year-old male juveniles for resisting arrest and battery on an officer.

2. Assault with a Deadly Weapon Arrest (1924) 9600 Block of West Lane, Valley Oak District

The female victim, 24, was in the parking lot of an area business and was arguing with the known suspect when he struck her with a firearm. The victim and suspect were later contacted at an area hotel, where the suspect was arrested, and the firearm was recovered. The victim was treated for a non-life-threatening injury. ARRESTED: Nathaniel Birdsong, 25, for assault with a deadly weapon and weapon charges.
