SUSPECT 1: Genaro Rizo Sr., 50-year-old resident of Yucca Valley
SUSPECT 2: Genaro Rizo Jr., 29-year-old resident of Corona
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, March 2, 2025, the victim reported she was sexually assualted at her residence in Landers. Deputies responded and learned the victim was asleep in her residence, inside of her locked bedroom. The suspect, Genaro Rizo Sr., entered the locked room and orally copulated the victim. During the investigation, detectives learned Genaro Rizo Jr. threatened the victim if she reported Genaro Rizo Sr. to the authorities.
Detectives from the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station authored warrants for the arrests of Genaro Rizo Sr. and Genaro Rizo Jr., and search warrants for their residences. Due to threat of a firearm, the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Specialized Enforcement Detail was utilized to apprehend Genaro Rizo Jr. and Genaro Rizo Sr.
Genaro Rizo Sr. and Genaro Rizo Jr. were booked into the Morongo Jail for their respective charges.
Detectives from the Chino Hills Station assisted in serving a search warrant on Genaro Rizo Jr.'s residence in Corona. During the search they recovered an AR style rifle.
