The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 1 PM this afternoon to 9 PM CDT this evening. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.
* Affected Area...Winnebago, Boone, McHenry, Ogle, Lee, De Kalb, Kane, DuPage, La Salle, Kendall, Grundy, Will, Kankakee, Livingston, Iroquois and Ford.
* Timing...From 1 PM this afternoon to 9 PM CDT this evening.
* Winds...South 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* Relative Humidity...As low as 30 to 35 percent.
* Impacts...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
* AFFECTED AREAS: WINNEBAGO ... BOONE ... MCHENRY ... OGLE ... LEE ... DE KALB ... KANE ... DUPAGE ... LA SALLE ... KENDALL ... GRUNDY ... WILL ... KANKAKEE ... LIVINGSTON ... IROQUOIS ... FORD
