* At 246 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Weir, or 7 miles northeast of Columbus, moving northeast at 70 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. Emergency manager reported 4 inch tree limbs down in Cherokee County. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
