Steven Ruhl, a 67-year-old Arroyo Grande resident, was arrested for lewd acts with a minor child under the age of 14 by force or fear.

On March 13, 2025, at approximately 14:12 PM, Arroyo Grande Police Department Detectives arrested a man for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor under the age of 14 by means of force/fear.
Steven Jeffrey Ruhl, a 67-year-old Arroyo Grande resident, was placed under arrest after detectives conducted a thorough investigation into a sexual assault allegation. Ruhl was taken into custody at the San Luis Obispo Airport, where he had just returned from a business trip.
Ruhl was later booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail for the following charges:
- Two counts of PC 288 (b)(1): Lewd acts with a minor child under the age of 14 by force or fear
