* At 1125 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 10 miles northwest of Wrights Corner to near Carlyle, or along a line from 18 miles east of Nokomis to near Carlyle, moving northeast at 60 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. At 11:15 pm golf ball sized hail was reported in Vandalia, IL. IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
