* At 1232 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Altenburg to Cape Girardeau, moving northeast at 55 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts. The Cape Girardeau Airport gusted to 77 mph. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.
