McDowell County Fire Marshal’s Office Lifts Burn Ban
McDowell County, NC – The McDowell County Fire Marshal’s Office announces the lifting of the county-wide burn ban effective at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025. The ban was issued to protect life and property during critical fire weather conditions. Rainfall over one inch is currently forecasted for McDowell County.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution and follow all local regulations and guidelines when conducting outdoor burning. The Fire Marshal’s Office encourages the community to burn responsibly to prevent the risk of wildfires.
