NWS: TORNADO WATCH issued for Beaufort County until 2 p.m. 
As of 6:30 a.m., we are under a TORNADO WATCH until 2 p.m. today, Sunday, March 16, 2025.
A TORNADO WATCH is issued when there is a possibility of a tornado. A TORNADO WARNING is issued when a tornado has been sighted in the area, and there is an imminent threat to life and property.
According to the US National Weather Service Charleston SC, a strong cold front is headed our way and may bring severe weather as it moves offshore. Our window to see potentially severe weather is between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Forecasted potential weather threats include damaging winds, hail, lightning, and isolated tornadoes.
Please plan accordingly and be sure to have a way to receive weather-related warnings.
If you haven't already, please download the Everbridge app to your phone. It's available for free in the Android and Apple app stores.
