Strong winds this morning have led to numerous reports of trees and power lines down. Over 1,400 locations in McDowell and over 48,000 in WNC are currently without power as of 6:45 a.m. on 3/16/25. Please use caution if traveling this morning. Gusty winds are expected through Monday.
