Meadows, Lowery Receive Drug Charges
Detective Matt Smith with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged 34-year-old Timothy John Meadows, Jr., of Marion with felony Possession of Synthetic Cannabinoid. He was issued a secured bond of $10,000.
Det. Smith also charged 64-year-old Terry Jo Lowery of Marion with felony Possession of Methamphetamine. She was given a secured bond of $10,000.
On Wednesday, February 12th, Detective Smith initiated a traffic stop on a blue Toyota Camry off U.S. 70 West, for a traffic violation. Lowery was the driver of the vehicle and had outstanding warrants for her arrest.
A search of her person turned up a container with suspected meth. Meadows, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was found to be in possession of THC wax and drug paraphernalia.
Both Lowery and Meadows were taken into custody and the narcotics were sent to the NC State Crime Lab for testing.
