Free vaccine clinic and health screenings Thursday, March 20
The Hoboken Health Division is partnering with the Hudson Regional Health Commission to host a free COVID-19 and flu vaccine clinic at the Multi-Service Center, 124 Grand St., on Thursday, March 20, from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 shots will be available for anyone six months and older. The seasonal flu vaccine will be available for those 18-years and older. Free health screenings, provided by Alliance Community Healthcare, include blood pressure, weight, covid, cholesterol, and glucose.
Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended and can be made at HudsonCountyVax.org.
Anyone who lives or works in Hoboken is invited to pick up free a COVID-19 test kit, while supplies last, at the Multi-Service Center. Each kit includes two tests, and can be picked up during the vaccine clinic, or during regular Health Division hours: Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information call (201) 420-2375.
1416 Clinton St. project meeting reminder
Hoboken residents are invited to a virtual community meeting on Thursday, March 20, at 6 p.m. to learn more about the proposed mixed use redevelopment project at 1416 Clinton St. Community members can register at hobokennj.gov/1416clinton.
The developer team will discuss the project which includes a proposed an eight-story property with 9,000-square-feet of ground floor retail and 160 residential units with 16 units of affordable housing. The project will also include streetscape and pedestrian improvements along 15th Street, Grand Street, and Clinton Street. The project would be located within the North End Redevelopment Plan Area.
Community members will have an opportunity to ask questions and comment on the proposal. No action will be taken by the Governing Body.
CDBG application deadline extended
The City of Hoboken has extended the deadline for nonprofits and local organizations to apply for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. This funding is designed to assist community members with low- to moderate-incomes and address urgent community needs.
The new deadline for submissions is now March 28 at 4 p.m.
Applicants can apply for a potion of approximately $1 million in funding based on the 2024 allocation provided by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)

Celebrate Trans Day of Visilibity on March 31
The City of Hoboken's Pride Advisory Committee will partner with The Hoboken Public Library and The Hudson Pride Center in celebration of the upcoming Trans Day of Visibility on Monday, March 31, from 3:30 to 5 p.m., at the Hoboken Public Library. The event will feature snacks, crafts, and an opportunity for families and individuals to have a conversation about Trans rights, challenges, and triumphs.
Hoboken Pride Advisory Committee Chair, Cathy Williams, notes, ‘It’s essential for young people in Hoboken to know that we celebrate and welcome the diversity and joy they bring to our community. And we are also glad to be able to partner with other organizations to provide a safe space to ask questions, get accurate information, and have honest conversations.’

The Hoboken Business Alliance (HBA) is collecting community feedback through their 2025 Annual Community Survey.
The mission of the HBA is to energize and enhance Hoboken's business environment through collaborative alliances with business, government, and community in order to create the conditions for small businesses to locate, open, and thrive.
