Media Release Walmart incident 3/17/2025 
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Monday, March 17, 2025 Sun Prairie, WI - On Monday, March 17, 2025 at 4:35 p.m. the Sun Prairie Police Department responded to Walmart, 1905 Mccoy Road, for a bomb threat. A staff member located a note in the store that contained the threat. When store staff became aware of the threat, they contacted police and initiated their internal protocols to begin evacuating the store. Once evacuated, the store was searched and there were no suspicious devices located on the property. The store reopened at approximately 6:30 p.m. There are no suspects in custody currently as officers continue to investigate the threat. The Sun Prairie Police Department was assisted by Sun Prairie Fire and Rescue.
