* IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.

* WIND...Southwest at 15 to 25 mph with gusts over 40 mph possible.

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...In Kansas, Johnson KS, Linn KS, and Miami Counties. In  Missouri, Bates, Cass, Henry, Jackson, Johnson MO, and Lafayette Counties.

* WHEN...From 9 AM this morning to 5 AM CDT Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.
