Winter Storm Warning until 10:00PM Wednesday

...IMPACTFUL WINTER STORM TODAY AND THIS EVENING... .A narrow band of heavy, wet snow and very strong winds will accompany a late winter storm today and this evening. Snow totals will likely range from 4 to 8 inches. There may be some isolated higher totals. In addition to the snow, strong north winds will gust from 35 to 55 mph. When coupled with the heaviest snow rates this afternoon, white out and blizzard conditions will be possible.

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 4 and 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Minnesota and central, north central, and west central Wisconsin.

* WHEN...From 7 AM this morning to 10 PM CDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.

* AFFECTED AREAS: WINONA ... TAYLOR ... CLARK ... BUFFALO ... TREMPEALEAU ... JACKSON
