On March 18, 2025, at 4:33 p.m. Deputies went to a residence in the 5400 block of North 200 West in the rural Patoka area to conduct a drug investigation. Upon arriving at the residence Deputy Wyatt Hunt was given access to the residence by a person on scene. Once inside the residence multiple searches were conducted. During one such search a physical altercation between 56 year old Malissa Linder and Deputies ensued. After being taken into custody Deputies recovered Methamphetamines and Drug Paraphernalia. Once the investigation was finished Ms. Linder was taken to the Gibson County Jail where she was charged with Possession of Methamphetamines, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Resisting Law Enforcement.
Assisting Deputy Hunt in his investigation were Sgt. Loren Barchett and his K9 partner Duke.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
