Driver Arrested for Felony DUI After Causing Injuries.

Incident: Felony DUI Arrest
Occurred Date : March 19th, 2025
Occurred Time: 9:28 PM
Location: Caulfield Lane Overpass, Petaluma
Suspect: Andrea Gill (26-year-old Petaluma resident)
Charges: 23153(a) CVC/23153(b) CVC- DUI with injury +308 BAC/ 12500(a) CVC- Drive Without a Valid License
On 03/19/2025 at approximately 9:28 PM, the Petaluma Police Department Dispatch Center received information from a community member that a collision had occurred on the Caulfield Lane overpass, involving at least two vehicles.
Petaluma Police officers responded to the scene and located two vehicles with significant damage that had been involved in a collision. Officers determined one of the involved drivers had sustained injuries and requested the Petaluma Fire Department to respond to the scene for medical care. The victim driver was ultimately transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
The other driver was identified as Andrea Gill, who displayed signs of possibly being under the influence and a DUI investigation was started by PPD’s DUI Officer. At the conclusion of the investigation, Gill was determined to be driving while under the influence. Officers also discovered that Gill had been driving without a valid driver’s license.
Gill was ultimately arrested for 23153(a) CVC/ 23153(a) CVC/ 12500 CVC. She was later transported to the Sonoma County Jail and booked for the listed charges. Her vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded.
The Petaluma Police Department would like to thank the alert community member who notified the Petaluma Police Department of the collision, which ultimately led to the involved parties receiving necessary medical treatment and arresting a suspected DUI driver.
