TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Street Closures Announced Due to 90th Annual
Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. announces that the following streets will be closed during the below-designated hours to accommodate the 90th Annual Newark St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Friday, March 21, 2025.
Beginning from 10 a.m.
- Mulberry Street between Market Street and Green Street
- Lafayette Street between Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Blvd. and McCarter Highway
- Columbia Street between Edison Place and Green Street
- Liberty Street between Lafayette Street and Green Street
- Edison Place between Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Blvd. and McCarter Highway
Additional street closures will begin earlier for stage set up on Halsey Street at Central Avenue and New Street between Halsey Street and Washington Street.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
