The Merriam Woods police department put the stickers on the vehicles that were parked or partially parked on the roads.
The Merriam Woods police department put the stickers on the vehicles that were parked or partially parked on the roads. It is Merriam Woods City Ordinance 355.010.
This is a warning. The police department is working to get the streets cleared so the Merriam Woods city maintenance can start working on the roads as well as the school bus and delivery vehicles have easy passage on the roads.
We apologize for the sticky paper. It stated that it could easily come off with Windex. This is not the case. There is a product called Goo Gone that will make the adhesive come off easily.
The Merriam Woods police department made the decision to start enforcement of this ordinance that has been on the books for several years due to an influx of citizen complaints about people parking on the streets. We will also be working on Nuisance violation (section 215.060), living in recreational trailers or campers (section 405.900) and attempting to address the dogs' at large issue (205.010). We cannot do anything about cats.
This was not directed by any alderman nor the mayor.
