Community Notice: Beware of Potential Email Scams Regarding Active Warrants
The City of Amarillo Municipal Court is currently sending emails to individuals who have received a citation in the past that has gone to warrant. If you receive an email titled "Notice of Active Warrant" and are unsure whether it is legitimate, please take precautions to protect yourself from potential scams.
🚨 What You Should Do:
✅ DO NOT click on any links in the email—if the email is fraudulent, clicking links may put you at risk.
✅ Contact the Municipal Court directly to verify any warrant status:
📞 Call 806-378-3082 during business hours,8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
🏛 Visit the court in person during business hours, 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday.
🌐 Go to Amarillo.gov/court, and check their warrants list. If you have an active Class C Municipal Court warrant with the City of Amarillo, your name will be listed there.

While the City of Amarillo Municipal Court is sending legitimate active warrant notices, we know scammers can spoof emails to look official. Be smart, verify information through official channels, and don’t get scammed.
