Methamphetamine and Fentanyl Seizure
Detectives with the Ventura County Combined Agency Team (VCAT) have dismantled a significant drug trafficking operation, leading to the arrest of Oxnard resident Juvencio Alarcon. After a three-month investigation, detectives confirmed Alarcon’s involvement in the distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl to residents of Ventura County. On March 19, 2025, narcotics detectives served search warrants at two locations linked to Alarcon—a residence on the 5400 block of Roland Way and a residence on the 4400 block of J Street in Oxnard. During the searches, investigators seized approximately 12 pounds of methamphetamine, suspected fentanyl, U.S. currency believed to be proceeds of narcotics sales, and additional evidence consistent with drug sales. The case will be presented to the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution, and authorities anticipate further arrests as the investigation continues. The Ventura County Combined Agency Team is comprised of investigators from both local and federal law enforcement agencies. VCAT adheres to a multijurisdictional collaborative approach to reduce the impact of illicit drugs in Ventura County. VCAT focuses on major and mid-level drug offenders and their organizations that operate and or conduct their illegal business ventures in Ventura County and whose illegal activities negatively impact the residents of our county
